The perfect yellow

The subject of yellow came up in Piilomaja's blog. In my opinion, the dress in this picture comes close enough to the perfect yellow. The picture is from the portfolio of Twig Hutchinson, who has worked as a stylist for Toast catalogues in the past. Her creations are breathtaking, you must take a look!

Piilomajan blogissa oli puheenaiheena keltainen. Minusta tämän kuvan mekko hipoo täydellistä keltaista. Kuva on mm. Toast -kuvastoja stailanneen Twig Hutchinsonin käsialaa, hänen kädenjälkensä on ihan henkeäsalpaavaa, käykää ihmeessä katsomassa!

At the weekend, some of our neigbouring houses arranged a garden party, band and all. It was so refreshing for our quiet little neighbourhood to be filled with music, laughter, children running around and life! Our wedding anniversary yesterday was a good excuse for devouring coffee and cake at nearby Bastvik manor, it's been turned into such a beautiful place.

Viikonloppuna vietettiin naapuruston pihajuhlia elävän musiikin soidessa. Oli suorastaan virkistävää kun hiljainen raittimme täyttyi musiikista, naurusta, lasten ilakoinnista ja elämästä! Eilistä hääpäiväämme juhlistimme pienimuotoisesti juomalla kaffet vastikään kunnostetun Bastvikin kartanon kahvilassa. Kaunista kuin mikä, kannattaa ehdottomasti poiketa!

A breath of Denmark - Tanskan tuulahdus

Yesterday I met up with a good friend, who had just returned from a holiday to Denmark and surprised me with some lovely things. But the best thing of all is that we are now planning a joint trip to that very land of wonders. It certainly lightened the otherwise heavy step of a mother who for the very first time saw her eldest off to school. Luckily the boy is full of enthusiasm for his new phase in life.

Tapasin eilen Tanskassa lomaillutta ystävääni, joka yllätti minut suloisilla tuliaisilla. Parasta tässä on kuitenkin se, että nyt on suunnitteilla yhteinen matka tuohon ihmeiden tyyssijaan. Kummasti lievensi äidin ahdistusta, joka saatteli tänään esikoistaan ensi kertaa koulutielle. Onneksi lapsi on kuitenkin uudesta vaiheestaan yksinomaan innoissaan.
