Emily Chalmers

A change of scenery did us a wealth of good, but it is lovely to be back again. Today for the home of Emily Chalmers, who seems one busy lady as stylist, shop owner and author of a pile of books. She lives in a converted warehouse in London's Shoreditch, filled with flea market finds and all things nice. Her shop Caravan Style can be found here. 

Maisemanvaihdos teki hyvää, mutta hyvältä tuntuu olla taas täälläkin. Tänään kurkitaan Emily Chalmersin kotiin - hän asuu vanhassa varastorakennuksessa Lontoon Shoreditchissä ja on haalinut kotinsa täyteen kirpparilöytöjä ja kaikkea kaunista. Roman and Williams

The New York home of designer couple Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, aka Roman and Williams, is just incredible, see for yourselves! I've collected pictures from a number of sources, you'll find the related articles via the links at the bottom of the post. I couldn't leave any of the kitchen angles out, as I love it so. The kitchen is created from separate pieces that have been painted in the same tone and joined by marble worktops. Add some industrial lamps and the result is just perfect. I also love the glass-paned library nook that divides the living space.

Newyorkilainen arkkitehti-/sisustussuunnitelijapariskunta Robin Standefer ja Stephen Alesch, ts. Roman and Williams, omistavat mitä huipuimman kodin, katsokaa vaikka! Tässä on niputettuna kuvia eri lähteistä, postauksen alta löytyvät linkit artikkeleihin. Keittiökuvia kertyi jonkin verran, teki minuun sen verran suuren vaikutuksen. Keittiö koostuu eriparikaapeista, jotka on maalattu saman sävyiseksi ja yhdistetty marmoritasoilla. Joukkoon vielä vanhoja teollisuusvalaisimia ja lopputulos on perfecto. Ja tuo oleskelutilasta lohkaistu kirjasto saa sydämen sykkimään.

Style crush: Helena Christensen

I've had a bit of a style crush on Helena Christensen for years. Not only is she exceptionally stunning, but she also has a great look going on with a somewhat boho feel, 

as well as good taste when it comes to all things home, (but hey, she's Danish after all...).

At Home with Abigail Ahern

Crossing the channel from France over to England today - Abigail Ahern has such a unique style. I borrowed these pictures from the Selby, who recently visited her East London home that she shares with her husband and Maude the dog.  Glad to see I'm not the only one, who saves those lovely, purple Liberty bags :) 

Tänään hypätäänkin kanaalin yli Ranskasta Englannin puolelle - Abigail Ahernilla on mahtavan persoonallinen tyyli. Nämä kuvat lainasin Selbylta, joka vastikään vieraili Abigailin itä-lontoolaiskodissa, jota tämä asustelee miehensä ja Maude-koiransa kanssa. En ole näköjään ainoa, joka säästelee noita Libertyn ihania violetteja kasseja :) 

It would be just about perfection to curl up in front of a fireplace on this gloomy and grey thursday morning. Luckily there's such a thing as candles. 


Tällaisena alakuloisen harmaana aamuna olisikin ihanaa käpertyä takkatulen ääreen. Onneksi kynttilät on keksitty.
