Following our Epiphany mayhem of packing away Christmas and having our kids' friends round, I've enjoyed a tranquil evening feasting my eyes on the Sisters Agency treasure chest. It's got to be my ultimate eye candy getaway and I was even happier to discover they'd added a whole lot of new stuff since my last visit (and larger photos!). It's almost impossibly difficult to choose which home to post, so why not go for the home of Birgitta Wolfgang Drejer herself, the amazing talent behind the agency. Some of you may have come across these recently at least in the Finnish Divaani magazine and Norwegian Elle Interior.

Happy New Year!

May the New Year treat you well! I guess this picture doesn't tie in with the occasion other than that I'm somehow drawn to it right now. And it kindles a small wish to perhaps get to wander along the streets of some fascinating town in the coming year. Thank you all of you for the past year!

A Very Happy Christmas to All of You!

A quick hello from amidst too many things to do. Working my way towards my last deadlines with far too little time left for Christmas preparations and reveling in that sweet pre-Christmas atmosphere. But our Christmas tree is now thawing in the bathtub and a little juniper appeared in the children's room last night. They found some decorations in their advent calendar this morning to hang on its branches. Our neighbour surprised us by leaving a jar of homemade jam and some sweets for the kids behind our door, unexpected acts of kindness like that are so moving.


Pikainen huikkaus tohinan keskeltä. Viimeisiä töitä taon ja jouluvalmisteluihin ja tunnelmointiin on jäänyt aivan liian vähän aikaa. Nyt on kuitenkin joulukuusi haettu kylpyammeeseen sulamaan ja yön aikana ilmestyi lapsille pikkukataja, johon pääsivät ripustamaan kalenterista aamulla ilmestyneet koristeet. Naapurikin ilahdutti jättämällä oven taakse itsetehtyä hilloa ja lapsille polkkakaramelleja, tuollaiset odottamattomat yllätykset kyllä koskettavat.
